Potential Earnings
Given the nature of the flexibility of being a Agent it is impossible to give exact figures of earnings. Each agent is different, some work on a full time basis, others work
part time evenings and weekends, some work on a seasonal basis depending on their other commitments.
Whilst we would ideally like you to be earning as much as possible, there are no specific
targets which agents must achieve and each individual works to their own goals.

Some agents want to earn around £400 per month which is relatively easily attainable,
others have a target of £1000-£1500 which would require a couple of sales per month
which is achievable.
Below are approximate earnings, commission is uncapped and therefore the only limiting
factor on the earning potential is you and the amount of time you are able to dedicate to
being a St Peters Gate agent. Agents who work across different revenue streams will in
general maximise their earning potential, however some agents specialise in particular
areas and are very successful.

Potential earnings are therefore provided as general guidance, when you initially become
a Agent your Area Co-ordinator will discuss with you what level of commitment you are able to give to being a St Peters Gate Agent, the level of commission that you hope to achieve will work with you to achieve your goal.

Commission for valuations
A sales agents can earn up to 5% of the final sales fee for generating a valuation which subsequently comes on the market. A fixed commission of £20 is paid when a property valued by a agent is listed on the market for sale. Valuers are also paid 5% of the final sales fee (less the upfront payment) for listing the property, on exchange of contracts. If another agents generates the valuation and lists a property they will be paid a total of 10% of the final sales fee.

Commission for negotiating sales
Agents can earn up to 20% of the final sales fee of a property for negotiating a sale. 10% is paid to the agent who arranged for the purchaser to initially view the property and 10% to the agent who obtained an acceptable offer.

If you arrange a viewing but do not negotiate the sale you will receive 10% of the sales fee, likewise if
you negotiate a sale, but someone else introduced the buyer initially you will receive
10%. Total commission which could be generated from the sale of a property is 30%

What other ways can I earn commission?
We offer a complete range of services to our buyers, not only residential but commercial
sales and rentals as well, and we also offer conveyancing, mortgage advice and surveys.
Rentals are a growing area and as a agent you will receive £50 when a property you have listed for rent is rented through us. You will also receive £50 if you introduce a tenant, who rents a property.

For making survey and conveyancing referrals you can earn £10 per referrals and £25 per
mortgage referrals (if the client chooses to use the service).

Is there a limit to what I can earn? There is no limit to what a St Peters Gate Agent can receive in commission, therefore the more properties you sell, the more commission you will earn. As you are commission based
we want you to earn as much as possible, as the commission you earn is directly linked to
the business you generate. Therefore the higher the commission you earn the more business you are generating for the company.

When are commissions paid? Payments are made one month in arrears, therefore commissions falling due in January
are paid in February, payments from February are paid at the end of March. Sales
commissions are paid in the month following exchange and rental commissions are paid
in the month following the leases being signed and the tenant moving into the property.
Auction entry commission is paid in the month following the entry fee being paid and
listing commissions are paid in the month following the listing.
